JDA January News - #2

Hello JDA!
Hopefully this week's newsletter will be shorter than last week.

Save the dates:
-These are all posted on the website; Spring Break, Production Pictures, Dress rehearsal and Spring Production. Please remember to get these important events on your calendar.

Spring Production Dress rehearsal:
-this is MANDATORY!

-if a dancer is not at dress rehearsal, they will not perform in Production. This is non-negotiable and strictly enforced.

-dress rehearsal conflicts: one has already been brought to our attention. We will do our very best to acommodate requests for a certain day/time for dress rehearsal but there are no guarantees. What does this mean? If you have a SIGNIFICANT conflict, please inform the front desk by January 31st. Significant is defined as a family event, being out-of-town, etc. Recreational/competitive sports are not considered significant (please know, no disrespect intended) and requests for anything sports-related will not be accepted. Why? Because many of our dancers are involved in sports. There is NO WAY every single sports request can be considered. We are asking for a very short period of time: Friday evening, Saturday morning and Sunday afternoon, May 21-23rd. Please work with us as best you can, we will promise to do the same for you.

Our refund policy has been updated. This is effective immediately. Please take a moment to read through it or look at it later under Studio Policies on the website.
Registration fee: $20, paid yearly by every dancer. This is never refundable. Period.

Production fee: $77 for first dancer, $71 for 2nd and subsequent dancers. Jeanne plans her Production budget in September. This means if a dancer pays Production in August or September but decides in October, November, December, January, February, March, April or May they are not going to participate in Production or if they decide they are not going to continue dance at JDA, there will be no Production fee refund. This money has already been allocated back in September. We start paying for our venue in September. There will be no Production refunds after September 30th. This is in place starting January 1st, 2010.

Tuition fee: Due on the first of the month. Effective immediately, any cancellation notices must be received 2 weeks prior to the first of the month. If a dancer is no longer going to attend JDA, even temporarily, the front desk needs to be informed by the 15th of the month. If a cancellation request is received after the 15th, a full month's tuition will still be due and collected for the following month.

Costume fee: Due October 1st. Paid in full by December 31st. Once costumes are ordered, this fee is non-refundable. The dancer will keep the costume, regardless of whether it is worn for pictures and/or Production.
